Well Done, Good & Faithful Workcampers!

From July 12-17, 27 youth and 7 adult chaperones were in Waterloo, IA for Catholic Heart Workcamp. We enjoyed a week of service, friendships, fun, prayer, and worship. Below are some reflections from some of our youth:

I think Catholic Heart is good for me because even though there are fun activities and many songs, there are also some very amazing prayerful activities. Both of these make it a fun but prayerful experience which definitely helps grow my faith. -Anna

CHWC helps bring you closer to God through the numerous activities and opportunities it provides. At camp we do adoration one night, and they also offer rosary almost every day. Along with the constant praying and being surrounded by other Catholics, that all helped me grow closer to God. -Roisin

Catholic Heart has taught me how to serve with an open mind and an open heart. It brings me closer to God because we practice being the hands and feet of God. Catholic Heart taught me to serve all year long because of the impact it has on the community. -Emily

This was my 3rd mission trip with Catholic Heart. When I am there and when I get home, I feel closer to God. I learned to stop and look for signs of God and to pray. God will hear my prayers. -Jonathon

Catholic Heart Workcamp is great for bringing you closer to God because you are able to experience Him so much during the week. Some of the best ways to get closer to God include adoration, four corners, and having Mass every morning. -Emmett
