The Hand of Our God Feeds Us; Who Answers All Our Needs

Psalm 145 is used six times as a responsorial psalm with different refrains and verses over the 3-year cycle of Sunday readings. With 21 verses, the 6 verses used this Sunday reveal God’s abundance. God desires to nourish and sustain us and satisfy us in unexpected ways. As we reflect on these verses, how has Jesus fed us his abundance?

O God, you are gracious and merciful, slow to anger, abounding in love.

Your compassion extends to all you have made; how good you are to all!The eyes of all creatures look to you, to give them their food in due season.

You open wide your hand, and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

You are just in all your ways, and loving in all your deeds.

You are near to all who call on you, who call on you from their hearts.
