A Win in the Fight to Stop Human Trafficking Submitted by Debra Schneider (President - Faith Coalition Against Sex Trafficking) On March 27, Governor Evers signed 3 bills into law from the Assembly Task Force related to human trafficking. These bills include creating a state Human Trafficking Council and expanding employee training to identify and prevent human trafficking. Also significant was legislation enacted to invest $10 million to support crime victims, including sexual assault and domestic abuse survivors. We are overjoyed at these first steps toward addressing human trafficking and supporting crime victims in Wisconsin, but our work is not done yet.
