Joe Kallenberger

Director of Administrative Services

I enjoy life alongside my wife, Melinda, and our two sons, Hugo (9) and Everett (6), along with our cats, Aris and Satsuki, at our home on Milwaukee’s southside. I am a lifelong resident of the Milwaukee area and have a great love for the city. I enjoy taking part in the many civic events it offers. I enjoy watching the Bucks and Packers, attending concerts and theatrical shows, as well as listening to music and watching movies and TV. I have played drums since I was 16, but mostly do so for my own enjoyment.

I received my undergraduate degree from UW-Madison in Art and Graphic Design. Though upon graduating, I did not pursue this as a career, but rather I took a position as the Director of Youth Ministry at St. Francis Borgia in Cedarburg. While working there I received a Certificate in Youth Ministry from the Center for Ministry Development in cooperation with Loyola University in Chicago and Alverno College in Milwaukee. After six years in this position, having gone through a merger of two parishes, my interest turned to the administrative side of parish work. I took graduate courses at Cardinal Stritch University and received my MBA in 2005. It was shortly thereafter when I began my full-time position as Director of Administrative Services at Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Milwaukee. After 14 years in that position, I moved to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee as Director of Facilities, primarily overseeing the operations of the Mary Mother of the Church Pastoral Center. I join you now at Good Shepherd as Director of Administrative Services, and look forward to supporting the parish’s many ministries and my fellow staff members through my role.
