Ellacuria Delegation Cancelled

After careful consideration and prayer, the Good Shepherd Ellacuria Ministry Committee has decided to cancel the planned delegation from Ellacuria scheduled for October of this year. The difficulties in obtaining visas to enter the United States as well as the current concerns and actions of the U.S. government with regard to immigration and travel from foreign countries are the principal reasons for this decision. We have conveyed this information, and our sadness, to the proposed delegates and the Ellacuria Directiva. We will also send a separate message to the Directiva expressing our disappointment in having to make this difficult decision and our hope for continued strengthening of our relationship with the community.
October 19th is Mission Sunday. Our partnership with Ellacuria is a missionary activity of Good Shepherd parish. We will celebrate 35 years of this partnership on that Sunday. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
