Celebrating Our Confirmandi

We celebrate our young people receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation this Sunday at St. James: Kendal, Owen and Robert.

They are fully accepting their part in the Catholic Church and asking to be fully initiated. They are sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit that they will share with their families, friends, Church and parish. We are so blessed to have these beautiful youth celebrating this powerful Sacrament with us.

We thank all who have taken part in their formation:

† Our catechists who have taught them in Growing Faith.

† Our families who have been interacting with them in Generations of Faith

† Our formation teams who have planned lessons, retreats and activities to form them.

We celebrate throughout the year what the Catechism of the Catholic says so well:

The seven Sacraments touch all the stages and all the important moments of Christian life: they give birth and increase, healing and mission to the Christian’s life of faith. There is thus a certain resemblance between the stages of natural life and the stages of the spiritual life.

We pray for our Confirmandi and all in our parish who make a commitment to living out their faith by participation in all the Sacraments of our Church.
