Celebrating St. Thérèse of Lisieux at Holy Hill

The Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill invites the faithful to venerate the relics of St. Thérèse of Lisieux. The first-class relics from Lisieux, France, will arrive November 15 for four days of exposition in the Basilica.

Despite living a short life, her spiritual influence is profound. She died of tuberculosis in 1897 at the age of 24, was canonized a saint in 1925, and declared a Doctor of the Church in 1997 as only one of four women saints to receive this honor. This great saint promised that she would spend her heaven doing good on earth.  The visit of her relics is sure to be an extraordinary event bringing many graces.

Holy Hill also will offer a day of reflection November 1:
“St. Thérèse and Her Family: Models of Hope for Families” presented by Fr. Michael-Joseph Paris, O.C.D.
