Catholic Stewardship Appeal Benefits Our Parish
This weekend we are asking for your support of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Catholic Stewardship Appeal (CSA). The Appeal provides Catholics opportunities to support a wide range of ministries and programs that benefit more than 500,000 people each year. “Called and Gifted” is one of those programs that has directly benefited our parish with many parishioners taking part in a process to discover their spiritual gifts. Here is the story of Jean Gatton, who took part in “Called and Gifted” last year:
It was fascinating to learn of the 26 charisms (gifts) of the Holy Spirit and the saints that embodied them. We took a questionnaire of about 120 questions by which we were able to determine our top 5 gifts. Each of our gifts given to us at birth are to be used for God’s greater honor and glory. I found the workshop so helpful in determining my special gifts, and I find that when I am using my gifts is doesn’t feel like work at all. It is life giving and a blessing. Since 2011, I have taken the workshop about 4 times which is now offered through the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. I would urge you to take advantage of this opportunity.
Your gift reflects your commitment to furthering God’s work, enabling us to serve those in need, train future leaders of the Church, support religious education for young people, and strengthen parish ministries. Join us as we work toward our CSA parish goal of $44,006. To date, we’ve raised 50% of the goal from 90 parishioners. Every gift is needed no matter the size. To help us reach our goal, give online at www.catholicappeal.org or text APPEAL2025 to (414) 348-8380.
