Special Collection for Gaza Crisis
Our Church mourns the terrible suffering of Christians and other innocent victims of violence in Gaza and surrounding areas who are struggling to survive, protect their children, and live with dignity in dire conditions. The Holy Father continues to call for a cease fire and for aid to enter the territory, noting with great sorrow that “Gaza is starving.” Archbishop Grob is asking for a special collection to support those suffering there.
If you would like to contribute, we are collecting through the weekend of Aug 30-31. You can make checks out to Good Shepherd Parish with “for Gaza Relief” in the memo section (or on an envelope with cash.) Donated funds will be sent to Catholic Near East Welfare Association and Catholic Relief Services. Both organizations have well-established partnerships with the Catholic Church in the region which allow them to respond quickly and efficiently.
