Go Out to All the World
Psalm 117 is the shortest of all the psalms. It expresses the reason why everyone ought to marvel at and praise God. It tells us to go out and tell the Good News. The two outstanding qualities of God which justify unshakable confidence are steadfast, loving kindness and loyalty. Telling this good news to all nations reminds us that Jesus’ vision and call to the Kingdom and salvation are for all peoples. The Kingdom of God is as expansive as God’s mercy and faithfulness, belonging to all nations, religions, races. All are called to be our brothers and sisters.
Praise! Give glory to God! Nations, peoples, give glory!
Strong the love embracing us. Faithful the Holy One for ever.
