Dear esteemed brothers and sisters,
greetings on behalf of the entire community and wishes for success in all your daily work.
Just want to let you know we’re preparing the land to sow corn and other basic grain crops. Hoping for good weather so we get a good yield. Also have received the measurements for the tank site where we are going to build the well, and we’ve already brought it to an attorney to write up for us; they told us that we will get the document within two months so we hope all turns out well.
We in the Directiva and community are all concerned about the law that has been approved by the legislators of this country, requiring payment of 30% of every donation. There’s no doubt that this will just increase poverty and inequality in every aspect, and is worrying all of the communities. We are in a bad way but trust that God will always be with us in these difficult times that are coming.
It’s sad to see how many people are being incarcerated only because they don’t agree with this president; we are saddened at the direction this is taking. Laws are being passed that harm our people. We’re in bad shape with these men who are running the government.
We always pray for you and trust that God will constantly be with us all.
Many greetings and hugs from us.
Blessings to all from the Directiva of the Community of Ignacio Ellacuria to our sister parish Good Shepherd. We greatly appreciate you.
