Discernment of Our New Pastoral Council & Trustee Secretary

It was a season of transition for our pastoral council and finance council. There were many nominees and candidates who discerned for several positions, which speaks very well for our church vibrancy in the many willing to serve our parish.

We thank Steve Grieb, Tammy Hernke, Sheri Youngs and Nic Zepnick for four years of service.

The trustee nomination process produced two candidates: Pat Seitz and Dan Nimmer. After an election that showed good support for both, Dan Nimmer emerged as our new trustee secretary.

Five Pastoral Council nominees met to discern three new members. This time of prayer and seeking the Holy Spirit guided us to Jenny Grieb and Cathy Wessolowski. The third seat went unfilled, even though each nominee had strong and prayerful gifts to offer as leaders.

Please pray for all these leaders and nominees of our church, that they always be guided by the Holy Spirit and God’s will for us all:

Adam Olig:
Chairperson

Jeff Olson:
Vice Chair and
Finance Council Liaison

Joan Plumley:
Secretary and
Christian Formation Liaison

Greg Goss:
Trustee Treasurer

Dan Nimmer:
New Trustee Secretary

I am honored to accept the Trustee Secretary position and thank you for putting your trust in me. I thank God for Good Shepherd and for this faith community that has come to feel like family to me. Thanks also to Pat Seitz for her congratulations and for all she does for Good Shepherd Parish.

I have been a member of Good Shepherd Parish since my marriage to Lisa Nimmer, in 1988. We raised our five children in Richfield and are now blessed to have four beautiful grandchildren. I am retired from Enercon Industries located in Menomonee Falls and Germantown.

As Trustee-Secretary I will use my skills to help Good Shepherd continue helping all feel welcome, empowering the youth to be more active in the future of Good Shepherd, and reflecting on how the Church can better serve the world.

Ryan Goss:
Prayer and Worship Liaison

Patrick Young:

New Pastoral Council Members:

Jenny Grieb:
Prayer and Worship Liaison

Hello. My name is Jenny Grieb, and I am a new member to the Pastoral Council. I am married to a past member of the Council, Steven Grieb, and we recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We have 3 children who are all young adults now.

I work at Children’s Community Center (CCC) as a Lead Childcare Teacher in the Infant Room. I have been at CCC for over 30 years.

I currently help out with Hospitality and the Matthew 25 and CHWC planning. I’m excited to start my term on the Pastoral Council and help our parish continue in its great traditions and grow in new ways.

Cathy Wessolowski:
Human Concerns Liaison

I am Cathy Wessolowski,  a fairly new member of Good Shepherd parish. My husband and I were members of Good Shepherd in the 90’s. At that time we were active in several ministries.

When we lived in Milwaukee we were members of St. Barbara Parish on the south side and quite active there also.

We have been married for 57 years and live at Wildwood Highlands apartments in the Falls. We moved here 6 years ago from West Bend. We have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

Since joining Good Shepherd, I have wanted to become more active in the parish and felt that being on the Parish Council would give me that opportunity. I am looking forward to working with other council members.
