Now is the Time to Use Your Voice

If you’ve been wanting to do something to stop sex trafficking of minors and adults in Wisconsin, now is the time to use your voice to make a significant difference.

Currently, there is an opportunity to pass crucial legislation aimed at addressing and preventing human trafficking in our state. Your representatives in the state legislature are working together on a series of bills that could have a profound impact on the fight against this crime.

Cumulatively our voices of support need to be heard to pass this legislation. Eleven bills have been introduced in the State Assembly. We believe critical pieces of this legislation include establishing a statewide Human Trafficking Council attached to the Department of Justice which is ASSEMBLY BILL 978 (https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/2023/proposals/ab978) and training in schools for grades 7 to 12 which is ASSEMBLY BILL 977 (https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/2023/proposals/ab977)

Take a few minutes to reach out to your local representatives and express your support for the anti-human trafficking legislation. Your call or email can make a powerful statement and influence their decision.
