Celebrating Baptism the 2nd Weekend of the Month
Did you just welcome a new little one to your family? Are you expecting a baby or in the process of adoption? We are pleased to help you prepare for and celebrate your child’s Baptism!
We have designated the second Sunday of each month as “Baptism Weekend”. Baptisms will take place at the 4:30 PM Saturday or 9:30 AM Sunday Mass on most months of the year, with the exception of weekends during Advent and Lent and circumstances unique to a particular family.
Baptism weekends for the remainder of 2022 are:
Oct 8 & 9
Nov 12 & 13
Parents should be registered members of Good Shepherd. A packet will be sent regarding godparent considerations and other needed information to prepare the Baptismal certificate. Parents will attend an evening of formation on the rite and responsibilities of Baptism. There will be a rehearsal and 1st anointing 1 hour prior to Mass. Parents will then attend a post-baptism session, breaking open the experience and how they can share their faith with their child.
