Would you consider being a reading tutor?
If you enjoy working with children and are looking for a way to make a lasting difference in a child’s life, this could be the perfect volunteer opportunity. The Ignatian Volunteer Corp is seeking volunteers who are willing to give approximately two hours per week during the school day to help students enhance their reading skills. Each tutor works one-on-one with the same three students throughout the school year so meaningful relationships can develop.
Beginning September 2022, and volunteer tutors are needed at the following schools:
- St. Catherine (51st and Center St.)
- St. Rafael (S. 32nd St. and Lincoln)
- St. Margaret Mary (92nd and Capitol Drive)
- Catholic East (N. Murray Ave. and E. Greenwich Ave.)
- Northwest Catholic (N. 41st and Good Hope Rd.)
