Ministries which serve and work together with the poor and/or marginalized.


Adult Learning Center

One on one tutoring helping adults achieve their GED in Milwaukee.
Carpooling with other tutors is available. Contact Betty: bpolcyn@att.net

Agape Meal Program

Volunteers serve a meal to families and provide a craft for children at the Agape Community Center in Milwaukee – the 3rd Thursday of odd months. Families with young children are welcome to participate. Contact Corinna: ramseyc@archmil.org

Barbers Without Borders

Volunteer 1-2 hours a month to cut hair, shampoo, and trim beards of homeless men, women and children at the St. Ben's Community Meal Program. Contact Monica: 262 250-3489 (h) or 414 870 0826 (c)

Cathedral Center

Create community the first Sunday evening of the month with a gift of time, food and fellowship with women and families experience a housing or homeless crisis in Milwaukee. Contact Kay: kanect@att.net

Ellacuria, El Salvador, Sister Parish Committee

An opportunity to learn about Central America and our sister parish in Ellacuria, El Salvador. Meets monthly.

Deacon Gene Outreach Committee

Meets three times a year – 2nd Monday of month - to allocate a percentage of parish income to organizations and ministries working with and/or on behalf of the poor and marginalized. Contact Barb: jandb@wi.rr.com

Falls Area Food Pantry

The Food Pantry exists for the purpose of providing food for low income families in our area. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:30-2pm and 5:30-7pm. Gay and Straight in Christ (GASIC)

Welcomes, supports and affirms GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) persons, their parents, families and friends.

Guest House Ministry

Volunteer at the Guest House Homeless Shelter one evening a month, 4th Monday or Wednesday.

HOPE Network

HOPE provides programs and services for area single mothers. Volunteer support is needed for bulk mailings,
baby-sitting for monthly support group meetings, and transporting donated items. Varied commitment.

Human Concerns Commission

Evaluates, coordinates, and sets goals for parish wide human concerns ministries.

Immigration Study Group

Committed to education and action grounded in Catholic Social Teachings.
We search for truth about immigration issues and advocate for fair and just laws that
promote family unity and human dignity. Contact Barb: jandb@wi.rr.com

Sleeping Bags and More

Provide warmth and comfort to the homeless by making homemade sleeping bags. Meets Monday mornings,
September-May. Needs: blankets, queen and king-size sheets and mattress pads. Contact Eileen: 414 354 4919.

Repairers of the Breach

This is a daytime shelter for homeless in Milwaukee. We share a brown bag lunch and scripture
three to four times a year. Contact: Mary Ann: mae63@sbcglobal.net

St. Ben's Community Meal Program

Volunteers prepare food for St. Ben's Meal Program once a month and bring it to Good Shepherd. Drivers
and servers also needed. Run/Walk for the Hungry in July on behalf of St. Ben’s and the House of Peace.

St. Michael Parish Ministries

Twice a year help with their eggroll fundraising campaign. Also ongoing one on one tutoring in English as a
