Flu Shot Clinic 2007

Wheaton-Franciscan Healthcare will hold a flu and pneumonia shot clinic at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Sunday, October 14 9:30am to 1:00pm in Daniels Hall. Cost is: flu shots - $30 cash, check or Medicare Part B. Private insurance cannot be billed including Medicare Advantage. Pneumonia shots are $45. Participants must be 10 and over for flu shots or 16 and over for pneumonia shots. Minors MUST have a parent or legal guardian present. Flu shots are recommended for the following high risk groups:

  • All children aged 6-23 months
  • Adults 65 and over
  • Persons 2-64 years with underlying chronic medical conditions such as heart, lung, kidney disease, asthma, diabetes, anemia, HIV/AIDS, long term steroid use, cancer drug treatment.
  • Women who will be pregnant during the flu season
  • Residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities
  • Children aged 6 months-18 years on chronic aspirin therapy
  • Health-care workers involved in direct patient care
  • Child-care workers and household contacts of children< 6 months.
  • Please see your doctor or healthcare provider for a flu shot if you fall into one of these high-risk groups or seek out a community vaccination program. Infants and children< 9 years should be vaccinated by their pediatrician or health care provider.
