Here are some of the offerings in Adult
Formation
Adult Confirmation
A collaborative program with the cluster parishes in the area. January
(starting on January 13) through April, 2004. You have the option of attending
either a Tuesday evening or Sunday morning classes as your schedule allows.
The Bible and More
This is a spirit-filled study of the Word of God, including song, prayer,
worship and faith sharing. It is offered September through May on Wednesday
mornings – 9-11:00 a.m. in the Chapel.
The books of the Bible studied in 2004 are II Corinthians and Proverbs
with a ‘few extra’ additions to our study – including
a presentation by Doris Klein, CSA, artist and spiritual guide.
Doubters, Seekers, Thinkers
A group for free thinking and discussion on a wide variety of issues chosen
by the group. The group meets on the 1st Wednesday and the 3rd Tuesday
of the month.
Good Shepherd Dinner Groups
Groups of about 6-8 people meet for a series of gatherings periodically
for food and fellowship.
In the Spotlight
This is a Sunday morning adult formation opportunity – held September
through May. Presentations are created out of the readings of the Sunday.
The program runs 10:00-10:45 a.m. in Daniels Hall – between the
two Sunday morning Masses.
Good Shepherd Men’s Group
This group meets every 4th Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The meetings begin with
fellowship followed by a discussion of a book or an article that pertains
to men’s needs, both spiritually and on every day issues.
Renew Your Faith Small Groups
A cluster-wide program – an opportunity for spiritual growth and
faith sharing within small group gatherings. Currently the program involves
people from St. James, St. Mary and Good Shepherd. Facilitators are available
to start new groups. There are also several openings in existing groups.
